Terms of Service
Welcome to Learning Chinese Characters Made Easy (“the App”). Please read these terms before use. By tapping “Agree and continue” or using the App, you agree to them. If you disagree, do not use the App.
1. Service nature
The App helps children learn Chinese characters with flashcards, review, pinyin matching, on-device progress, and simple local rewards (e.g. flowers, badges). Features depend on the installed build.
The App is an educational aid—not a substitute for school or professional assessment. We do not guarantee learning outcomes.
2. Accounts & storage
No online account is required for core features in typical builds.
Progress, review data, challenge times, profile nicknames, and reward state are stored locally on your device to resume sessions and show stats.
We do not routinely upload this on-device learning data to our servers unless required by law or where you clearly consent. Protect your device from unauthorised access.
3. Privacy (summary)
The App focuses on on-device learning and does not mandate collection of phone numbers or precise location. Permissions such as network or storage are requested only as needed. See the standalone Privacy Policy for details.
4. Speech & media
Read-aloud uses the device text-to-speech engine and installed voices; some prompts use bundled audio triggered during learning.
5. Intellectual property
Rights in the App, UI, code, character datasets and assets belong to their respective owners. Do not reverse engineer, misuse, or use the App unlawfully.
6. Children
Minors should use the App with guardian consent and supervision. Guardians should manage devices and healthy screen time.
7. Disclaimer
The App is provided “as is” to the extent permitted by law. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages.
Outages due to force majeure, device issues, compatibility, or third-party services may occur; we will seek reasonable fixes within practical limits.
8. Changes
We may update these terms; continued use after updates means acceptance unless applicable law says otherwise. If you disagree, stop using and uninstall.
